We are seeking a seasoned real estate sector controller to oversee day-to-day fund-level accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting for Luxembourg real estate funds. This role involves preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supervising and coordinating reporting requirements, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and other accounting statements.

  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting preparation and coordination.

  • Collaborate with external tax advisors to coordinate quarterly VAT packages and CIT/MBT/NWT/WHT returns.

  • Oversee quarterly covenant management preparation and coordination.

  • Provide support for due diligence and sales processes.

  • Perform bank reconciliations, daily cash management, and bi-weekly cash flow forecasts.

  • Maintain a complete and accurate general ledger.

  • Aggregate financial data at the portfolio level.

  • Coordinate independent audits and prepare files for audit and SOC requirements.

  • Prepare financial input for quarterly board meetings and attend meetings.

  • Create and complete financial and management reports for clients, investors, and other stakeholders.

  • Interpret contracts, legal documents, and agreements, and accurately record complex business transactions in the general ledger.

  • Coordinate the reporting process across functions, funds, and geographies to ensure timely completion.

  • Prepare periodic reports for regulators (CSSF/DNB/AIFMD).

  • Coordinate and execute investors' capital contributions, redemptions, and distributions.

  • Provide assistance with ad hoc projects and group initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, business economics, or accountancy, preferably CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent.

  • Experience in preparing periodic and annual financial reports and handling annual audit processes.

  • Practical experience with consolidation and tax returns, particularly Luxembourg VAT and CIT/MBT/NWT/NWT.

  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including IFRS and Lux GAAP.

  • Certified Accountant qualifications in relevant jurisdictions.

  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS, and INREV.

  • In-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.

  • Ability to forecast and prepare budgets.
